Tomy hide and squeak eggs review

We bought these for Isabelle's first Christmas when she was 5 months old.  They seemed to be a toy that was always everywhere we went, playgroups, doctor's waiting room etc, so thought they may be a good choice for her.

The eggs come in a handy yellow box, that keeps them both tidy and is easy enough for little fingers to open.  There are six different eggs which the lids come off to reveal the coloured chicks inside.  Each egg has a different shape on the bottom that fits into the matching shape in the box.  Each egg squeaks when pressed.

This is a great toy and will help your child's development, it is a shape sorter, will help teach colours and help develop fine motor skills.

So what did Isabelle think ?

Well she absolutely loves them !  Not only did she have hours of fun opening the eggs and putting them back together, she loved opening and closing the box.  As she has grown she has learnt more, she can now tell me the colour of each egg and match them to the correct shells.  She can tell me the shapes on the bottom and match them to the box shapes too.

A lot of Isabelle's friends have had hours of fun with these and even my eldest son loves to show how it's done.

Isabelle has even discovered that if you blow through the eggs they whistle, which I guess is a winner for a toddler who loves noise.

Overall this is a great toy for babies and toddlers alike.
